About the role

The company Outdoor Akzent, a stable and financially secure advertising agency, is looking for an experienced accountant to manage its full‑cycle accounting operations in Zagreb. The role involves maintaining books, processing invoices, handling VAT, and supporting payroll.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain business books including journal, general ledger and subsidiary ledgers.
• Post incoming invoices and issue outgoing invoices.
• Calculate and file VAT returns.
• Record bank statements and reconcile accounts.
• Interact with tax authorities and other institutions.
• Prepare financial statements and year‑end closing accounts.
• Assist with payroll calculations and preparation of JOPPD forms when needed.
• Archive and administer accounting documentation.
• Perform additional accounting tasks as required.

Required profile

• Higher education in economics, finance or related field (SSS, VŠS, VSS).
• At least 10 years of experience in accounting or similar roles.
• Strong responsibility, accuracy and ability to work independently.
• Proficiency in business English for written and oral communication.

Required skills

• Advanced use of MS Office, especially Microsoft Excel.
