Project Manager – SCORE Project (Sarajevo)

About the role

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Bosnia and Herzegovina is recruiting a Project Manager for the SCORE Project, which strengthens social cohesion and resilience in the country. The project uses evidence-based analysis to understand divisive narratives and build trust, supporting democratic development and EU integration. The Project Manager is based in the UNDP BIH office in Sarajevo, with frequent field travel to the target area, and reports to the Project Board.

Key responsibilities

• Project management and supervision of project teams, coordinating activities, donors, partners and stakeholders
• Prepare annual activity and procurement work plans and budgets based on expected year-end outputs, applying the UN Result-Based Management approach
• Lead and motivate a team of personnel, experts and service providers, and conduct performance assessments
• Ensure accountability, transparency and competition in procurement and resource allocation, and manage the project budget and expenditures
• Provide policy and technical advice, guide the design of support to institutional partners, and advise on programme development, concepts, proposals and resource mobilisation
• Monitor schedules, deliverables and budgets against the Annual Work Plan and logical framework indicators, and report progress and financial information to UNDP, the Project Board and donors
• Carry out regular performance monitoring, field visits and quality checks, and ensure quality assurance of financial, procurement and administrative processes
