Project Associate – Climate Transparency Projects

About the role

The Project Associate will support the implementation of several climate‑related projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina, including the development of transparency reports for the UNFCCC and the operationalisation of the environmental information system. Working under the Project Manager, the role involves coordinating administrative, procurement and event‑organising activities to ensure project quality and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure business processes comply with UNDP regulations and internal control framework.
• Assist the Project Manager in preparing and implementing procurement plans from a financial perspective.
• Organise field visits, missions, workshops, training sessions, roundtables, conferences and study visits.
• Maintain and update administrative, personnel, financial and general office files related to the projects.
• Support recruitment activities by drafting job descriptions, preparing recruitment requests, recording interview minutes and processing contract requests.
• Maintain the inventory of project assets and equipment.

Required profile

• Experience in project administration or support within an international development or UN context.
• Familiarity with UNDP internal control procedures, procurement processes and documentation standards.
• Strong organisational skills for coordinating events, field visits and stakeholder meetings.
