Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Analyst – Sarajevo

About the role

The Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Analyst will support the definition, monitoring and reporting of results for UNFPA programmes across the Western Balkans, ensuring alignment with the UNFPA Strategic Plan and regional priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate results planning, including development of theories of change, results frameworks and costed monitoring plans for country programmes.
• Provide substantive inputs to monitoring, tracking results against targets, and conducting annual and mid‑term reviews.
• Coordinate evaluation activities, manage decentralized evaluation processes and ensure compliance with UNFPA Evaluation Quality Standards.
• Support results reporting and communication to internal and external audiences, including preparation of analytical reports and contributions to UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Frameworks.
• Promote knowledge management, a culture of results and the use of evaluation findings for evidence‑based programming.

Required profile

• National professional officer – must be a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
• Experience in results‑based management, monitoring and evaluation, and evaluation coordination within UN or development contexts.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills, with ability to work collaboratively across multiple country offices.

Required skills

• Technical expertise in developing M&E frameworks and costed evaluation plans.
• Ability to analyse quantitative and qualitative data, ensure data quality and produce analytical reports.
