On-call Security Guard

About the role

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Bosnia and Herzegovina is seeking an on‑call Security Guard to help maintain a safe environment for staff, visitors, and UN premises. The position is engaged on an as‑needed basis, responding to operational requirements without a guaranteed minimum number of hours.

Key responsibilities

• Provide security presence and surveillance for UNDP facilities in Sarajevo.
• Assist the Head of Administration and Security Assistant in maintaining a secure environment.
• Monitor access points, conduct patrols, and report any incidents promptly.
• Support the protection of staff, visitors, and assets during on‑call assignments.

Required profile

• Reliability and ability to respond quickly to security calls.
• Good physical fitness and ability to perform regular patrols.
• Clear communication skills and a client‑oriented attitude.
