National Project Officer (Bosnia & Herzegovina)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) seeks a National Project Officer to lead the BiH Solidarity Fund Program in Sarajevo. Reporting to the Chief of Mission and Deputy Chief of Mission, the officer will ensure effective implementation of migration‑related initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, coordinate and oversee all activities of the BiH Solidarity Fund Program.
• Develop, monitor, and evaluate programme components, ensuring compliance with IOM standards.
• Prepare regular reports, financial statements, and performance assessments.
• Liaise with governmental, diplomatic, national and international partners to secure support and alignment.
• Facilitate capacity‑building activities for local stakeholders.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in International Relations, Political Science, Humanitarian Affairs, Economic Development, Business/Public Administration, International Studies or related field with at least seven years of relevant experience, OR a university degree with nine years of experience.
• Proven experience in programme conceptualisation, development, monitoring, reporting and evaluation.
• Experience in project development and capacity‑building.
• Demonstrated ability to work with governmental and diplomatic authorities and international institutions.
