About the role

We are looking for a motivated Bookstore Associate to join our Hoću knjigu store located in Tower Center Rijeka. You will be the face of the shop, helping customers find the perfect read while ensuring the store runs smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the cash register and provide friendly customer service.
• Receive, unpack and stock new merchandise, keeping shelves well‑filled and organized.
• Inform customers about new releases, best‑sellers, memorabilia, school supplies and the full range of products.
• Arrange displays and product placement according to management guidelines.
• Perform additional tasks related to the position as needed.

Required profile

• A genuine love for books and familiarity with current best‑sellers and school‑year assortments.
• Previous experience in retail or customer‑facing roles is a plus.
• Enthusiasm for creating a welcoming environment for book lovers.

Required skills

• Cash handling and point‑of‑sale operation.
• Basic inventory management.
• Effective communication with customers.
