Project Engineer – Bihac

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Project Engineer to lead engineering and construction activities at its Sub‑Office in Bihac. Reporting to the Humanitarian Assistance Coordinator and directly supervised by the Head of Sub‑Office, the incumbent will ensure that all project components meet technical standards, local regulations and IOM procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Assess site conditions and produce conceptual analyses, technical documentation, scope of works, bills of quantities, material specifications and photographic records.
• Develop engineering designs in line with industry standards and local regulations, consolidating basic and detailed designs into complete bidding and construction packages.
• Prepare procurement plans, define eligibility and qualification criteria, and contribute to the technical sections of solicitation documents.
• Participate in pre‑bid meetings, provide clarifications to contractors and suppliers, and supervise construction works.
• Conduct quality control and coordinate with contractors, suppliers and internal teams to ensure compliance with approved project documentation.
