Senior Java Developer - Fintech

About the role

Monri Payments, a payment orchestration and cash register software provider operating in 10 markets, is looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer to join its Monri Payments team in Sarajevo. You will work on payment and fintech applications and high-volume transaction systems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver robust, scalable, highly available and secure applications using modern security standards and cryptography
• Maintain existing functionality and write and maintain product documentation
• Share knowledge through mentoring, documentation and verbal communication
• Work in teams of experts designing fintech and security solutions used by thousands of merchants
• Use Agile, CI/CD, secure development, Git, JIRA and IntelliJ

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, information technologies or a related field (preferred but not mandatory)
• 5+ years of Java application development experience
• Strong experience with unit and integration testing

Required skills

• Spring Boot / Quarkus and RESTful web services
• Application servers (JBoss, WebSphere, Tomcat) and relational databases (PostgreSQL, MSSQL)
• Build tools (Maven, Gradle)
• Nice to have: reactive programming (Mutiny), Apache Kafka or similar MQ systems, Apache Camel, Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD, Linux or macOS
