Sea Freight Forwarding Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Sea Freight Forwarding Specialist to independently organize and coordinate full container load (FCL), less than container load (LCL) and project maritime shipments. You will act as the main point of contact with ship owners, agents, ports, terminals and other logistics partners, ensuring smooth end‑to‑end shipment execution.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize and coordinate FCL, LCL and project maritime shipments.
• Communicate with ship owners, agents, ports, terminals and other partners.
• Receive and process transport orders, managing the entire dispatch process.
• Prepare transport quotations and identify optimal logistics solutions.
• Monitor shipment status and keep clients informed in a timely manner.
• Arrange inland transport to and from ports in collaboration with road and rail carriers.
• Control transport and shipping documentation.
• Collaborate with customs, road and air transport departments.
• Resolve operational challenges during transport and coordinate all participants.
• Track maritime market trends and apply best logistics practices, contributing to process improvement and digitalisation.

Required profile

• Higher education in transport, logistics, economics or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in maritime transport or international forwarding.
• Strong knowledge of international maritime shipping and Incoterms.
• Business‑level proficiency in English.
• Excellent organisational, communication and negotiation skills.
• Self‑reliant, responsible and quality‑oriented.
• Proactive problem‑solver with a focus on process optimisation.
