Pre-Sales Engineer - HAProxy

About the role

Crossvallia, which provides IT services, experience and know-how for IT clients including HAProxy Technologies, is hiring a Pre-Sales Engineer for a full-time position in Bosnia. The PSE proves out proposed solutions and escalates them to engineering and solution architecture teams, supporting sales productivity and deal flow by securing the technical win in complex solutions. The role reports to the Director of Sales Engineering and works closely with Account Executives worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve the technical win for deals in the assigned sales territory, prioritizing effort by total impact on team productivity and profit, or as directed by the sales manager
• Scope the technical solution needed to meet customer requirements, assess met and unmet needs and recommend solutions that optimize value for customer and HAProxy Technologies
• Collect feedback from stakeholders, adapt solutions and coordinate with sales, support and engineering so the solution design matches business requirements
• Answer customer questions and concerns to reach consensus on the technical win
• Meet targets for profitable sales growth in assigned markets or teams
• Coach and develop sales representatives on product knowledge, technical acumen and technical sales skills
• Pursue additional business development opportunities within customer organizations and monitor customer support for proposed solutions, alerting teams to risks to deal closure

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or a record of achievement and technical solution expertise in a comparable domain
• Intellectual curiosity and passion for solving customer problems
• Self-starter who enjoys proactive learning and problem solving with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and attention to detail and deadlines
• Fluency in English (C2); German, Spanish, Portuguese or French is an advantage
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities and projects

Required skills

• Load balancing, application delivery and networking technology
• Web servers, reverse proxies/load balancers, HTTP and web applications
• Protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, DNS, WebSocket, SSL/TLS, SMTP
• Linux-/UNIX-based systems
• Experience with HAProxy is a plus
